A
little background to our white wines
Depending
on which wine we are making the grapes may have some skin
contact before gentle pressing.
Fermentation is either in stainless steel tanks (for
the Arietta and Sonatina) or in new French/German oak barrels
for the Sonata (Chardonnay). After the wine has matured (for
varying lengths of time – depending on the type of wine) we
give the wine a bentonite fining (a natural clay product) for
protein stabilisation and then filter before bottling on the
property
Our
Wines
A
lot of effort is spent trying to ensure that we have the very
best and properly ripe fruit, from which to make our wines.

Peter Arnold wines have a distinctive personality - intensely flavoured and finely structured with great length and finesse. These are naturally made, living wines which made deposit tartrate chrystals in the bottle - a healthy sign of a HANDCRAFTED WINE.
Cork
Policy
Our Arietta and Sonatina wines are bottled with synthetic corks to preserve the intense fruity characteristics of the wines. This also removes for us the risks of any cork problems in these bottles. However, Sonata is bottled with a natural cork as we believe this to be the best closure for this wine - which will develop with further maturation time in the bottle. If you do come across a corked bottle of Sonata, please post the offending cork back to us and we will take it up with the particular cork supplier and depending on the outcome, replace or refund you accordingly.
